Trump&#8221; and legally controlled by his son <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/documents-confirm-trump-still-benefiting-from-his-business\/2017\/02\/04\/848fdd5a-eae0-11e6-bf6f-301b6b443624_story.html?utm_term=.6665b97e037c\">does nothing to insulate him from his international businesses<\/a>\u2014including hotels, which are currently a conduit for funds from foreign governments to directly benefit him personally.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">(this one is sort of a sub-point of the above) The facile suggestion that &#8220;money from foreign governments will go to the U.S. Treasury, not the PotUS&#8221; is meaningless in the absence of a coherent and detailed question of <i>how that would be done<\/i> and a neutral, third-party auditing and verifying the same. Such a plan does not exist.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">No one has a clue what the PotUS&#8217;s business dealings include, because he refuses to release his tax returns.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">What you can do:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"p3\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.davideriknelson.com\/sbsb\/index.php\/2017\/01\/calling-your-reps-a-guide-for-the-timid-with-quick-start-and-power-user-options\/\">Call your reps<\/a> and ask them to support Rep. Bill Pascrell&#8217;s request that the House Ways and Means Committee subpoena Trump&#8217;s tax returns for private congressional review.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p3\">Support Rep Jerry Nadler&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/nadler.house.gov\/press-release\/congressman-nadler-introduces-resolution-inquiry-force-gop-vote-trump%E2%80%99s-conflicts\">Resolution of Inquiry<\/a> &#8220;directing the Department of Justice to provide the House of Representatives with any and all information relevant to an inquiry into President Trump and his associates\u2019 conflicts of interest, ethical violations\u2014including the Emoluments Clause\u2014and Russia ties.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Nordstrom\">@Nordstrom<\/a>. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/829356871848951809\">February 8, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>I know it feels sorta like\u00a0our democracy is crumbling right now, so I want to reiterate that a lot of this craziness is actually a sign of the our system <em>working<\/em>, not failing. \u00a0Yes, we&#8217;re a month in and have yet to go a single business day without a new\u00a0affront to decency and orderly government\u2014but our institutions are still rooting out the\u00a0weeds and shoveling the bullshit off the paths. \u00a0Yes, there is always a risk of those instutitons being debilitatingly buried, but your actions\u2014your daily calls, your protests, your agitation\u2014are keeping this front and center in the news, and keeping feet held to the fire. \u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\"><p>\nOne by one.
